Type a web address, add a label if you want one under the code, and download it as a PNG, or as an A4 sheet of four table cards ready to cut up.

Everything happens in your browser. The address you type is never sent anywhere, there is no account, and there is no tracking pixel hidden in the code. A QR code that quietly redirects through somebody else's server is a common thing on the internet and this is not one of them: the code encodes exactly the address you typed.

Print bigger than feels necessary. A code that works when you hold a phone six inches away does not always work when somebody leans across a table at arm's length in bad light.

Laminate them, or slide them into a table talker. A code printed on plain paper survives about three weeks of wet glasses.

And test the printed copy with an actual phone before you print forty of them. Testing the version on your screen is not the same test.

A QR code is not a link that can be edited, it is the address itself, encoded. If the page it points at moves, every printed copy is dead and there is nothing to update.

So point codes at an address you control and are not going to change. If you are printing something you will need to repoint later, point it at a URL on your own domain and redirect from there.
